Looking at the recent CDC guidance, they are recommending staggered start time. On the one hand, I see the need for this as start and end times are crowded, etc. But in practice, if I have multiple kids in the same school with multiple start times, what do I do while waiting? I'll be sitting outside the school, loitering around. Doesn't seem better. Has anyone's schools set forth a staggered start time plan?
I haven't seen anything about staggered starts. The schools that I am familiar with have multiple entrances and some classrooms open directly onto playgrounds. I imagine that they will label the entrances and assign classrooms to use particular doors.
I have one in middle school and one in HS in NYC public and haven't heard of this plan yet. That doesn't mean it's not being talked about. TBH, I have zero confidence in the DOE at this point.
