What will private school teachers/staff who have kids in public schools do if they have to go in 5 days a week to work and their child is only in school for example 2 days a week?
Lol. Teachers didn't "decide" to go virtual. The state decided (based on public health guidelines, and correctly IMO) that public schools cannot safely accommodate all their students at the same time, because we are in the middle of a pandemic. Trying to blame this on teachers is really gross.

@anonymous And I read this and did decide to blame the public school teachers:
Jul 28, 2020 - Randi Weingarten, American Federation of Teachers president, speaks ... The national labor union floated the prospect of teacher strikes two ...
Back in June our private said that they were preparing for this type of situation, but I haven't heard anything more about what they are going to do. They have said that they will announce more reopening plans this week. I wonder if they will allow teacher kids to come to the school and do virtual class from a monitored room? They have said previously that they would allow middle school kids (who would be on a hybrid schedule) to come do their virtual days in a monitored room if they can't stay home for some reason. I think most of the teachers with kids in lower school send their kids to the school. We have several teacher kids in our lower school grade.
Hopefully, the city will have some type of child care for educators in this situation.
The same thing all other parents who’s teachers decided to be Virtual But who have to go to work do. Figure it out
