Parents League told us that with respect to K applications, there were a lot of families who applied for private who previously would’ve gone to public
I don't know. I got the impression from the past few months that everyone was heading for the (literal) hills, and then we've heard that schools have been absolutely inundated. My friend missed the cut-off for two schools by a single day (for one TT and one 2T), and they told her to not even think about it, lol.
I wonder how many of these new applicants are requesting financial aid? Are people applying on the chance they get in and get enough aid to pay for it?
I've heard higher, at least for MS and HS.
I heard the same, higher especially for MS and HS
One factor is that the ISEE is optional at many schools this year. That was a real hurdle for many, so now it's easier to apply.
I've heard higher across the board. Scares me, lol. We're doing HS.
Are families not really leaving NYC? May be the families who left last year are returning back this year?

FA pool is limited. I am surprised at the number of wealthy families there are in nyc who are willing to pay this kind of tuition for multiple kids.
