Since much of the current situation at schools regarding hybrid, shorter school days is due to the social distancing requirement, when do you think that social distancing will not be required anymore due to vaccines? Basically I’m wondering when schools can go back to normal where all kids go in every day with normal hours? will we need social distancing even when all teachers have been vaccinated?

I think we're going to be hybrid/distancing for a long time - maybe even another year - at least in public school. Kids can still get sick and spread it, and the vaccine isn't 100% effective.
I think kids will be back in school in September.
Long time, publics are not interested in returning the way they were
Probably through the rest of the year? I'm frustrated, seems like my kids' private intends to keep it in place even after all teachers get vaccinated, which to me seems the main concern. Most parents I know aren't that concerned about their kids getting it, and it's not like SD is that strictly enforced in school (in elementary, it's really hard to keep them 6 feet apart at all times). I'd be in favor of them masking while dropping the need for half-groups.
Parents who are not concerned about their kids getting it - ? That's so odd to me.
our private school also indicating this and that fall won't be normal either. I think they will keep on this overly cautious schedule as long as they can. now that they've done all the work they don't want to change
Oh no not liking the answers here... kids need to be back full time in September!!! and what about after school, early morning drop off, etc?? Those need to come back too !
I think they need to be back full time next fall too! I was just thinking through the end of this year at the worst. I will certainly be advocating for full-time school next year. To have this sad shadow of hybrid school for another year is unthinkable. If they say they can't do it despite teachers and staff being vaccinated, they are definitely moving the goalposts. Because that's what it was all about.
I think Sept. My kids are at our local gen-ed DOE elementary and one is already back 5x/wk, the other is on an A/B schedule so gets 2-3x/wk. Its gotten totally manageable. I think it really depends on each schools‘ capacity and willingness to be flexible with scheduling.
parents need to lobby govt (local and state) to change guidelines. there has been no spread in school. many schools around the country have gone 100% and no social distancing and the outbreaks just aren't there. Sure, keep masks but once teachers are vaccinated there is no good reason to keep these hybrid schedules.
This September.
