Our school is already delayed so if they use this to delay further, I will lose my mind.
I'm worried too. The school admitted they wanted to see how things played out when other schools opened so if they say they don't know enough at the end of the month because public schools just opened, I will lose it. But there's a lot of pressure on them to open like they promised, because they already delayed it once.
@Anonymous Are you at ECFS? We are, and I feared this would make them push back further if it happened. Do you have any insight? I really really hope they don't change things again.
I don't think so, it seems public specific so they can deal with logistics and testing. Our private already had plans in place for all of this.
I predict HCHS will go along with the public schools.
ditto, but that's not far off what i kind of expected anyway.
They follow their own calendar, not the DOE's school calendar.
a few have already opened.
nyet. All systems go.
No. Poly Prep opens next week.
Brearley and Horace Mann are opening in person 5 days a week for all grades and full school days in a few days.
If your kids are there, let us know how it goes. TIA!
The catholic archdiocese sent a letter last night. We are staying on schedule to open next week as planned.
I will update once they start. Any version of in person school, eg with masks, temperature checks etc, will be better than zoom school imo. Better for parents, way better for students, and better for those teachers who are not lazy and got into teaching for the right reasons.
