Can we also talk about how the proposed schedule has them in front of a screen for around 6 hours or more each day?! How is that healthy for the youngest kids?
I don’t understand why they need to be remote for three weeks! The reason they gave, which is to get students used to remote is completely stupid bc once they transition from remote To in person all that “practice” wont really be remembered. Especially for the younger kids!
That is a weird reason. Kids need constancy, especially young kids. This seems disruptive. Also, our private will be emphasizing technology lessons in the lower school in Sept-Oct to get the kids ready if they have to switch to remote this winter. Why not just teach the kids in school about the technology rather then forcing them into 3 extra weeks of remote teaching?
All remote until end of September and then sloooow phase in of all grades so that all grades will be in person in mid October. The reasons they gave sounded lame to me..
Teachers aren't essential workers after all

Oh, I don’t disagree with you at all.
