LOL, it sure seems that the upcoming discussions to abolish G&T and SHS don't have ANYTHING to do with prejudice against Asians.
"In some cases, police and Education Department staff did “selectively physically confront, accost, or manhandle Asian-Americans to intimidate or dissuade them from entering, and otherwise sought to prevent their gaining access to School buildings and attending Town Hall meetings,” the suit reads."
Those are allegations, not yet established facts. Not saying it didn't happen, just that we can't yet say that it did based on allegations in a complaint. We have to see what other facts come out or otherwise get established. If Asians were selectively excluded from the Town Hall based on race, that's obviously illegal. But if it just so happened that everyone who showed up to the meeting with, say, a weapon was Asian, that would not be illegal because the target was the weapon, not the race. I know that's not what happened, just giving an example. Let us see what facts come out.
Oh, look, on the same meeting in which they abolished testing for admissions to Boston Latin (top screened school in Boston) Boston Education Department official was mocking Asian names on hot mike:
I am sure that this is just an isolated incident and has nothing to do with the ongoing assault on screened schools primarily servicing poor Asians across the country.
You have your stereotypes wrong. Shinaynay and Boo Boo is a slur on African Americans, not Asian Americans. It would be nice if you were equal opportunist in your indignation.
@Anonymous Oh, you are not done gaslighting?
"Michael Loconto, chair of the Boston School Committee, has resigned after he apparently mocked the names of Asian American commenters on a hot mike."
"Many believe his comments were disparaging and racist, as the names Sullivan listed were primarily of Asian origin."
Asian bashing is messed up. Why are white privileged males such douche bags?Is it how they are brought up? Carranza isn't, obviously, but I think his motivation is purely political and misguided.
The more important Q is: why did he send his daughter to a specialized HS with mostly white and asian students? (Actuly DeB too, for that matter.)
