Hi Everyone,
Welcome! I'm just a regular UWS mom who spends an inordinate amount of time on UB. I don't know where I'm going to spend my time now, so I decided to quickly put together this website. I am NOT a professional and but I'll try my best to make this a place where we can chat.
You'll have to provide an email and password to post (I didn't know how to get around this). But you can change your profile name to Anonymous or anything else you'd like.
Also, be sure to go to Settings under your Profile and un-click all notifications. Otherwise you'll get an e-mail every time someone responds to you.
Leave comments and suggestions here and I'm happy to try to incorporate them!
Thanks, you did a GREAT job in a short amount of time!
You did a good job. Now we just have to get more people on here.
I'm a middle-aged mom of teens, who was on UB for many years. Thank you for doing this. Now, if only you can figure out how to monetize this!
Thanks! If you have any suggestions on how to monetize, let me know!
The founder of Park Slope Parents, Susan Fox, started charging a fee to join that site a long time ago. I think it's around $20 a year. I paid for a few years, but then ended my subscription because the site was mostly geared toward parents of babies and toddlers and wasn't useful to me anymore. But that could be an option, and I bet UBers would pay. There's also advertising, although I wouldn't know how to attract ads.
Agree you should have a way to accept donations via PayPal. Thank you!!
Thank you !!
I’m here too. - UES Carnegie Hill Mom
Thanks for doing this!
Thank you for building this site to host us UBers! You have really done a fab job in so little time! Hope this takes off just like UB :)
As a non-tech savvy person, I'm impressed that you did this so quickly! So from what I've been able to gather there's no way other users can see your email address, correct?
Thank you! Yes, that's correct, no one can see your e-mail.
I've been on UB for more years than I care to admit! Thank you for creating this site. I'd gladly contribute $'s to help cover costs.
May I suggest that posters use user IDs that are more clever and distinct than “anonymous”?
