I don't know! Maybe Maya Wiley...maybe Scott Stringer? I'm clearer on who I am NOT voting for (Andrew Yang).
Maya Wiley is Deblasio.
@Anonymous that's my fear
Any suggestions on objective sources to compare and contrast the candidates?
Yang. Won't vote for anyone associated with BdB. I'd vote for Chris Quinn if she ran.
Yang my front-runner right now too.
I want the most conservative option. I want crime reigned in, don’t believe in defunding the police and am sick of homeless hotels in my neighborhood (UWS). I want Bloomberg basically...
the democratic primary is in june.
@Anon The democratic primary will decide the mayor since there is basically no one running on Republican side at this point that has name recognition (well if you count Curtis Sliwa). There was a big campaign to have folks register as Dems in order to vote for a more moderate candidate in the primary https://gothamist.com/news/ploy-convince-republicans-switch-parties-rankling-gop
I need to educate myself on the candidates. Not another DeBlasio. Also, did you hear the rumor that DeB is thinking about running for Governor. LOL!
Ugh. Maya Wiley is another DeBlasio
Is this the citigroup guy? that's who dh wants too. I think he sounds decent but need to hear his vision for schools.
@Anonymous Yes, the Citi guy. Smart, black, great business background/executive experience. But he has very little chance. He's polling way down the list. No name recognition.
@Anonymous DH worked at Citi while he was in charge and isn't voting for him. Wasn't impressed.
Scott Donovan is my pick but I worry he is too “elite“ to win the primary. He is ivy educated, worked in the Obama administration and has a smart wife.
Hopefully that's not disqualifying -- Ray McGuire also has an "elite" profile, though as an AA, he's also keenly aware of regular people issues, as well.
@Anonymous He's been too quiet and not out there enough. I can't say I know what his positions are like Yang or Adams or Wiley or Stringer.
@Anonymous it’s easy enough to find out.
Whoever will incentive corporations to be based in NYC and not Jersey, Brooklyn, other low cost of living cities and Mumbai.
brooklyn? is part of nyc
