I may get flamed for this, but honestly looking for suggestions. DS (3.5 years old) is at a good UES preschool, play based. He has a Jan 1 birthday, so is the oldest in his class, and will be in we go to public for K, too. (If the city would let me start him next year, I would, but have to wait another full year because of his birthday). He loves math, and can do addition, subtraction, multiplication, squares, etc. with sums up to about 100. Reading precariously (e.g., he can read short books slowly). Loves science and learning. The school says when he is bored he gets a little over excited and rambunctious, and they'll have one of the teachers give him extra attention on reading or doing some math to help him calm down. But otherwise makes friends easily and is on track social / emotionally. Feel like he needs an accelerated program, or will become a discipline problem. Any ideas? TIA!
