I'm sorry. That sucks. A friend of mine just sold her house in NJ for 60 thousand over asking price. She had 20 offers the first day it went on the market. It's crazy!
The market around the NE sounds like a frenzy right now. People are bidding up houses, sight unseen. With the recent announcements of more NYC schools going remote, I wonder if there’s still more demand to be unleashed.
Tough, OP, but you’ll get over it and hopefully stumble across an even better opportunity. Maybe try reaching out to owners directly?
We sold in Seattle 4 years ago. It was common to have 20+ offers on a house, many in cash, within days of listing. It happens ALL the time. We are in Vermont now, and it's definitely a seller's market. You'll find something!
PS - our neighbors are selling their GORGEOUS 1797 colonial....
I’m sorry you lost the house. Where are you looking? keep on
one everything is so overpriced, people are never going to get their money back.
You shouldn't get emotionally attached to a house until you have a contract.
