My kids - having never been bullied - are encountering bullies multiple times in their NYC playground. Anyone else seeing similar? Wondering if it's related to covid and kids being out of school.
the other week the two kids both got bullied by some slightly older kids - and then again this week were threatened by kids (around 10/11 - my kids are 4 and 7) in their regular playground. I feel like maybe it's cos the older kids aren't in school so they are just around more and prob frustrated. but wondering if it's happening to others...
Who is with your kids at the playground? Who is intervening? Who is getting those kids in line? That would only have to happen one time for me to stop it for all time.
@Anonymous the nanny but she is new and the kids dont seem to want to tell her in real time. I think it happens swiftly and the 7 year old is sort of proud - nanny would obv intervene
Wow! That sucks. Can you give some examples?

Tell her to be in the lookout and jump in. She should be tracking the kids while they play. This needs swift and serious justice.
Just curious - what kind of bullying? Pushing? Name-calling?
