Both me and my spouse WFH. Kids go to public 2 days per week and from home 3 days per week. During the home days, kids interact with both of us, and we help them with homework. On top of that, kids get to listen in to work phone calls from both parents for hours on end.
So, what kids get is: (1) an adult to help them w school 1-on-1 (2) interact with adults instead with kids for most of the week (3) window into working world of adults that they otherwise would not have.
What I am saying is NOT that this arrangement is good for ALL kids. However, for the kids of two working responsible adults this COVID school-from-home is actually BENEFICIAL.
