what are you expecting for schools to share and when? We’ve heard nothing specific from our catholic Elem school. I get it that there are so many unknowns but some communication on what to expect would be appreciated ...
Elementary public school here. We had a couple of meetings already. We know that we have to wait until August 7 because that's the deadline for parents to choose fully remote. I expect to hear a finalized plan in the following week or two.
Just FYI, it makes little sense to select fully remote by August 7th (unless you are completely certain). You can switch from hybrid/blended learning to remote at any time, but you can only go the other way during certain windows.
Strictly speaking, yes, you're right. But if someone is serious about fully remote, it's better to declare it, so that the school can plan accordingly. If many "clever" parents do what you propose and at the same time expect to find a teacher and plan in place when they "discover" on Sept 10 their true intentions.... Well I hope that they are disappointed.

Public ES and MS have both shared their expected schedules and set up community video calls next week.
