What kind of thoughts are you looking for? Georgia's curve is going up. Schools should not be opening, certainly not packing students into a crowded hallway. Common sense.
@Anonymous Are you looking for validation that schools in NYC should not open? Yes, schools in NYC should not open, if they do, there will be confirmed cases.
@NYCMom But there will be some spread when schools reopen. It's inevitable. And since everyone will no doubt get hysterical over a handful of cases, we just shouldn't bother.
I personally don’t care. Every camp, school, daycare that has been open all summer has risk. I find it strange that people keep posting this all over the place. People on certain states have been living like there is no pandemic, how is this any different ?
If the school had been actually trying to reduce the chance of infection they wouldn't have students in the hallways all at once or regularly at all. that's why you keep kids in one room all day and move the teachers around instead, for example.

Of course it's happening more broadly and is exactly what will happen when NYC schools open. The DOE has no "plan" as of now.

As if cleaning the physical plant at the school will reduce incidence of COVID in crowds of non-distanced, non mask- wearing students and staff.
Georgia peaked awhile ago, who cares?
