What is so upsetting is knowing so many families struggling to make ends meet who pay thousands in taxes. Working people. This country is such a farce. I realize in other countries people may pay as much or more, but they get something for it. That the wealthiest of us pay nothing is awful.
If he did not violate the law, then no. Did he - I don't actually know? Lots of rich play games to reduce taxes, using existing laws and loopholes. While unethical, not necessarily illegal. I don't support him in any way, but its a question.
Taxes aside, Special Counselor Mueller (remember his report, a lifetime ago?) compiled compelling evidence that the president engaged in conduct that could be considered obstruction of justice or witness tampering, but was bound by Department of Justice policy stating that a sitting president cannot be indicted. Federal prosecutors in New York were bound by similar factors to close an investigation into potential campaign finance crimes and related offenses that directly implicated the president. There is compelling evidence that the president personally committed up to 8 federal criminal offenses while participating in and covering up a scheme to suppress negative stories about him from impacting the 2016 election.
My understanding was that if he loses this election, he can be indicted. But if he wins, the statute of limitations on most if not all of the charges will expire before leaving office in 2024. In case you need another reason to vote blue.
He is teflon. This will make no difference to anyone who supports him.
sad, but very true
This.
I'm not even sure it will make a difference to independents and others in the middle, many of whom would do the same thing if they could.
@Anonymous True. All he is going to say is he was taking advantage of the existing tax law and anyone else would have done the same thing,

Can he be arrested and sent to jail for tax fraud/evasion (if he loses the election)? I would just LOVE to see this guy go to prison.
