I’m very close to an older woman who lives on our street. We met about ten years again and she’s grown to be like a mother to me and an important member of our family. I‘ve met her two sons many times but they don’t live in NY so she won’t see them for the holidays. She gets fresh direct and food delivered but she’s lonely and isolated. Yesterday she told me that she’s very cold, I think it’s because shes not moving around as much, she barely leaves her apartment. My children have been making cards and videos for her, we also dropped off Thanksgiving dinner. What else can we do to help her to feel better over the next few months?

Perhaps she would enjoy connecting with other seniors at the 92Y Himan Brown 60+ Program? There are so many classes and activities that could help to keep her engaged (and expand her social circle)! https://www.92y.org/himan-brown
Maybe one of those frames where you send pictures to it? And then just send her pictures of the kids, pets, cute animals from the web, etc. throughout the day.
