How hard is it to get in if you are not connected? And is it foolish to even think about it for my 3.5 year old when we live in Manhattan? It's a 45 minute drive to Riverdale...
We go to a hill school and live on the UWS. I drive my kids sometimes and it's less than 20 minutes (you are going against traffic). When they take the bus, it's about a 40 minute ride.
Plenty of young kids commute there from Manhattan and do just fine. (My 3.5 year old commuted all the way to White Plains and loved it.) It's a great school.
We live in Riverdale and send one DC to a hill school and send the other downtown. Commuting from Manhattan to a hill school is going reverse traffic so it tends to not take as long.

TY-- 40 mins sounds more doable! We are UES

Ah, got it. I thought most of the children there lived nearby in Riverdale. TY!
