Me - twice. Once when DD went to spend a week at a friend's house over the summer. Another time when DD had to quarantine when a classmate tested positive.
DD - 6 times. Once to go stay with friend over the summer, twice for school, 3 times when she quarantined and will go again this weekend because someone at her sports facility tested positive.
A handful of times, including once for an in-hospital procedure. That was definitely more uncomfortable than the other times (they put it much further up your nose) but also not actually painful and over in 3 seconds.
It was in May, maybe I’ve just forgotten. I also would have said the others are just a couple of seconds. Maybe that really just means I thought it was unpleasant but not a big deal
@Remage Swab is inserted into nasopharynx, a cavity behind the nose (ie, really far up). Very painful, especially because they leave it there for 15 seconds and the countdown is excructiating.
🙋🏻♀️
twice
Ditto.
@Anonymous me too, every two months, don’t know if I should do more often
Did an at-home kit that DH's work sent us.
2x, but DH has been tested like 10x which I figure covers us because he does the grocery shopping/has more exposure.
Me x 1. DD x 2. DS x 1. DH never.
Tested every week (work)
Who hasn't by now?
5x
Twice- both precautionary, didnt think I had it either time.

DH - never. He doesn't go out much.
Monday will be my first time. I have to get one before I have a procedure done.

Interesting! I’m in healthcare: the deep one requires 30’seconds of insertion. The bilateral anterior nostril one requires 15 seconds per side

2x due to hospitalization. Horrible experience both times.
What made them so bad?

Same. Caused a burning, searing pain in my eye of all places. I bled. It was really deep. And the countdown was 30 sec for me!
Three times.
Yes, got a bad cold in august and the paranoia got the best of me.
Twice--once required as part of pre-op, once before my doc would treat a sinus infection.
