Most independent schools will open full-time for the younger grades (K through 5th or 6th), including ECFS, Brearley, CSH, St David's, Marymount, Town, Packer Collegiate, CGPS.
Spence and Allen Stevenson will be 100% virtual.
Dalton instruction will be 100% virtual, although younger grades will be allowed to go to school if they need wi-fi or staff supervision.
For schools that are opening full-time for younger grades, are regular teachers coming back to teach? How did the administration convince them to come back?
I’m hearing that more privates are going to announce all remote before September even if they claim otherwise right now. Berkeley Carroll just announced all-remote until mid-October.
@anonymousAdmittedly from a bunch of stressed out and paranoid parents who claim they've heard it from "insiders" so who knows how accurate these rumors might end up being. Berkeley Carroll news is official, though. That I saw in email.
So thirdhand, then? The actual, verifiable facts are that the vast majority of private schools have said they will reopen, at minimum for all the elementary grades.
Not private but School of the Blessed Sacrament. Hybrid (3,2) or fully remote

Anyone heard anything about Trinity, HM, Collegiate, Riverdale, Chapin, Buckley, etc?
I don't think Spence said 100% virtual.

St David’s is full time for everyone.
HM everyone full time. Riverdale starting 2 days/week for each grade
Trevor Day - K-5 100% full time in school, 6-12 in school 2 weeks on/two weeks off

It's called not having a union.
Dwight full time in class for PreK-7th and 50/50 alternating for 8th-12th grades
Calhoun hybrid in school and online for 7-12 grades with a goal of full rotations by October

heard Packer also said remote to start. Parents freaked out though so not sure if it will stay that way.

Sure. And at least one of those just announced they're not, even for all the elementary grades.
Berekely Carroll? But did they ever announce they would open, meaning are they doing an about face?
