If your school goes online, at any point during the year, and you choose to unenroll your child, will your private school let you out of your contract and refund your tuition (prorated)?
No way. And have you been reading the articles about how privates around the country are expecting to be at least partially open when publics are not? It may not be perfect, but I predict it will be better than the alternative.
They have to announce they will open and have a plan, otherwise they will lose so many students and $$. But they know full well they may have to go full remote at some point.

Thank you! I'm the OP and am so exasperated with an insufferable parent who keeps posting on our school's group page, trying to nickel and dime them about everything. They have actually agreed to prorate his tuition and now he's arguing about the lunch plan-- that they won't also prorate this if his child were to fall ill. It's making my blood boil how irrational this man is.
Unlikely
Good luck with that!

This makes me glad our school does not have a group page. I'm in the dark about what most parents are thinking.
Yes, you are lucky. It's really infuriating to see how petty humans can be. It seems the more the school gives this dirtbag, the pettier he gets.
