I’m 38 years old and my period is 2 weeks late. Home pregnancy test was negative. Am I going through early menopause? I don’t think I’m pregnant; my body just doesn’t feel pregnant. My period has been going through so many changes that I seriously think it’s early menopause. Thoughts? TIA.

That‘s the age when my periods became a little more inconsistent. However, I had my kids at 40 and 42. Perimenopause can go on for years.
@MidtownMom op: I am not trying to get pregnant as I already have older dc. I’m going to the doctor next week to see what’s going on, but I’m hoping it’s just inconsistent period.
Stress can do this stuff, too! But since there's nothing stressful about life in 2020, that can't be it.
Op: I have never missed a period (except when I was pregnant). The test says I’m not. I’m not sure what to think anymore.
It's perimenopause. Totally normal. This will be your life for the next decade plus.
