Does anyone else have deep political and world-view differences with their parents? How do you handle it? I've tried for years (long before Trump was elected) to let it go, not argue, avoid political topics, etc., but these days, I feel like it's nearly impossible to avoid talking about current events (pandemic, election, social/racial unrest, etc.) . I'm having trouble reconciling the parents I love and respect with the some of the sexist/racist and generally uniformed views that they have (on topics like climate change, racial injustice, etc.). Anyone else? How do you handle it? I feel I have a responsibility to call out unkind or insensitive remarks, but my parents see it as me being "politically correct" and making them "walk on eggshells". Help.
