NP. Yikes. This happened to me recently for the first time ever (I’m 47). It went away quickly and I didn’t think much of it. Should I be worried? It never occurred to me that it was a sign of a serious problem.
ER MD. Keep in mind I am trained to think of the “worst first,” but a sudden onset headache in this context can be concerning for subarachnoid hemorrhage - basically a brain bleed due to a tear or aneurysm of a blood vessel. Certainly there are many other causes of headache, but a ”thunderclap” headache like you describe always deserves some evaluation. If only for your peace of mind! Be well.
Omg I had this before. I had to get an MRI and full work up from neurologist. Mine turned out to be muscular but it can be a sign of other stuff.
Op here - what could it be? I’m scared to have an orgasm!!!!
Do you ever get tension headaches? If yes, that might be related.
