Are you in public? Only two cases would trigger the school to close?
Yes and yes. It’s awful. Had 2 10 day closures earlier this year
You have my sympathy. Ours closed today (After being closed all of January). See you in four weeks! I’m so over this.
Hmm. We’re in public and closed for 1 day to investigate the 2 cases. If they are individual incidents we open the next day. Isn’t it like that for all public?
It's a little unclear. The official rules are that if the 2 cases are determined to be "linked" then they can stay open. If they are "unlinked" then they close for 2 days.
IMO a lot depends on what the "investigation" consists of. I suspect they just call the principal and ask if the kids know each other or ever share common spaces. And then it's basically up to the principal to decide what to say.
BDB said they are re-examining this and will make an announcement in a few days.
our school is in a constant state of covid positives and rolling cohort closures and has been since whenever they vaguely opened. chill.
