We didn't leave the city at all during Covid and aren't going anywhere for the summer. My kids don't seem unhappy. My teenager was disappointed not to have camp but is enjoying sleeping late, texting and getting together with friends, and my younger DC is attending his usual day camp, which is modified but fine. DH and I get along and I'm enjoying the chance to work from home and not have to dress up. We're doing some family day trips to the beach and long bike rides, and I don't really miss the pressure to take a glamorous vacation. Meanwhile friends and acquaintances keep hinting that they feel sorry for my kids, and me, and/or that I'm being a bad parent bc my kids are "trapped" in the city. It's really annoying. Anyone else feel like this?
