Please tell me something to make me workout. I was planning on doing so but had an awful meeting and am feeling like crap right now. Just want to hide under my covers. Tia.
Do it. I got serious about exercising and eating better right after Memorial Day, when I realized that I'd really gained weight in quarantine. Have dropped 10 pounds since then, back into a more normal range for me (I'm very petite so that much makes a difference), feel much better and clothes fit more normally. That alone keeps me putting on the workout clothes.
Make it a really small, easy habit. Going forward, have your workout clothes out and ready and just make sure you put them on. Make that the only goal. If you workout, bonus. Just.put.on.the.outfit
For me, it's getting outside in the fresh air, surrounded by nature. So... hiking, mountain biking, boating, running, skiing (nordic, uphill, downhill). But I'm not in NYC (obvi). When I did live in NYC, I loved running along the west side and in the park.
I find the thing that helps me most is to actually find a workout that I love to do. Like dancing or jumping rope to really good music or mini-rebounder (trampoline dance). It makes me look forward to it a bit and on the days that I don't feel like working out I tell myself that I can quit after 10 minutes with no guilt and I almost never want to stop once I start.

Because it gets me out of the house; I listen to my music and zone out. And since I lost weight I look smashing in my new gear, LOL

It will only make you feel better in the end. I sympathize.
This is why I always work out early in the morning. As the day wears on it gets much harder to just do it.
It will actually make you feel better and get you out of your bad mood. SO sorry you had a crappy day.
