Hi there. My 5th grader is generally really happy and engaged in school but mentioned to me that the math they do is really easy for her and she'd like to do something a little extra to make it more interesting. What's a good place to turn for this, Khan Academy? Is there something else she can do online? Not looking to go crazy but just want to keep her interested.
We found Khan academy helpful for additional practice for topics learned at school, but there is no reason you can't use it for advanced topics. I also hear a lot about Russian School of Math as an outside enrichment (think math team type stuff)
Beast academy is incredible.
Second beast academy -- it's more of a math team/interesting puzzles type site as opposed to just rote questions for acceleration. Though my 5th grader prefers Prodigy, which is more of the latter, because she likes the video game aspect of it.
@Anonymous awesome thanks to you both!
I use Beast Academy for two of my DC and they love it, meaning they don't really complain at all because it keeps them engaged while they learn. They are both ahead in math, so I feel like it does help with challenging them.
