Looking for GYN on UES who has privileges at Weilll Cornell. OK if she doesn't take insurance but must have excellent bedside manners and spend more than 5 minutes with me. Also, must have nice facilities. I know this may seem shallow but I am tired of being examined in what's essentially a broom closet esp since I only go once a year. TYIA
Edit: only looking for a female physician.
I don't have a recommendation, but I did not have a good experience with Melissa Waterstone. I'm also looking for recs for GYN on UES.
Same! What happened to you? I do think she knows what she is doing. She just isn't very nice. The others in that practice are good too, and much more pleasant. Dr. Jin, etc.
I go to Carmit Archunald. i like her. But used a high risk OB for my pregnancies.
I have been going to Dr. Seth Finkelstein, MD at 950 Park Ave, New York, NY 10028 Phone: (212) 472-8200. He is a gem.
Dr.Garrick Leonard delivered DC at Weil Cornell, very calm in a crisis, when it really mattered. Not fuzzy/schmoozy, but really cares, definitely trust him.
Dr. Milton Hutson. Used for high risk pregnancy and now my regular OB. Has his own office on 72nd and 1st and a very nice office and people who work with him. He is quiet but he will take as much time as you need. Also has privileges at Cornell.
Second Dr. Hutson, great experience overall. Wonderful OB, caring staff.
If you're not looking to have babies and you're in your mid 40s and up I would go with Dr Nancy Leibowitz on the UES. She watches your thyroid and hormones like a hawk. I use her for bioidentical hormones which saved my life and my marriage. Great bedside manner. Always starts sessions behind her desk in her office to talk and then move you to exam room.
