This is definitely a low point in American history, but hopefully the story will end with how we triumphed over adversity (and I'm including the Trump administration, climate change, and institutionalized racism, in addition to the virus and the economy) and provided a better future for the next generation.
I'm not sure it makes for great stories, unless you work in healthcare or something. There was a pandemic and we were forced to stay home a lot and not go to work or school. Sure, there's lot of anxiety and frustration and boredom, but not not much action.
exactly. my older kid's fun story: his friend's dad died and all he could do was try to offer condolences by video chat. Mine: one of my best friends was in the hospital for three weeks and i was afraid he would die the whole time.
It’s quite a tale, but at the same time I am probably just going to force myself to forget 2020 ever happened so I don’t get too depressed thinking about it.

Yes, my grandmother died and no one could come to the funeral. Such great lore.
