I know. I can't concentrate. I am sitting here stress eating while trying to work and wondering at what time this afternoon it would be ok to start drinking. And I am not a big drinker (a glass or two of wine a month).
I'm sorry for your anxiety. I'm stressed too especially when I'm seeing some stores boarding up. One things for certain it will not be a swift decision unless there is an absolute landslide and that's not happening.
@Anonymous Reading comp yourself. She didn't say that her day to day life would change. She said she was anxious. I pointed out a reason she could be anxious that has nothing to do with changes to her day to day life.
me too. but i voluntered to help people get to the polls and it helps me feel I am contributing in a positive way vs just letting things happen. Maybe volunteering for something (Phone banking, bringing foods to voting lines, helping people get rides) will help!
Fuck yeah

LOL
well the one thing you can be sure of is that that isn't likely to happen.
I was just coming here to post a similar comment! Climbing the walls today. I’m a poll worker tomorrow so at least I’ll be busy.
Same. I am doing election protection for half the day, glad I have something to keep me busy. I guess I'll start drinking after that. ;)
History Mom - have some wine, turn on the TV and watch democracy at work. Not as though we can do much at that point except vote.

Why all the anxiety? How do you think your life will actually change depending on who wins?
Some people care about things beyond their selfish, individual daily lives. Shocking, I know.
Reading comp, as they used to say on UB. I didn't ask about caring. I asked how OR's day to day life would actually change?

I volunteered to work at the polls and got an email reply yesterday that they have too many volunteers this year and don't need me (I'm in LA).
@Anonymous You can phone bank or work hotlines for other states
DH volunteered as a poll worker in a Trumpy area and I'm nervous. The voter intimidation is very scary.
I'm in the same boat. I'm sure it will be fine but I'm a little nervous.
