School is remote, WFH a is here for awhile and my company said I can be WFH forever. We can’t sell our apt because we would likely lose most of our equity. Dcs are in 7th and 4th and middle schooler really doesnt want to move. I would love to move to the burbs Or frankly to a lower COL location...
This board is so damn negative, it's crazy. You can move if you want to.
Can you afford a second home? Doesn't need to be pricey.
I feel the same. maybe move? kids will be ok .
It’s great to take your kids’ feelings into account, but they should not be able to make the final determination on where you live. If you think your family is better off moving, you should move. Kids are very adaptable. Our family moved when my siblings and I were in 5th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade. No one wanted to do it, but in the end everyone was fine and made new friends
Don't make a long-term decision based on short term circumstances. If you are done with the city in general and won't enjoy being here even after things reopen, go for it. But don't uproot everyone just because of 6-12 more months of remote or WFH.
You may be able to rent your apartment for your monthly, or most of it?
We all do
No, we all don't.
@Anon I don't at all.
right but then good for you. it's ok that a lot do.
