It doesn't move as fast but I like getting notifications on posts that I start or comment on and I am finding that people are making more thoughtful and longer comments. Good job to whoever started this site! Thank you.
I like it, too, and I feel like it preserves the best of UB, when there were thoughtful conversations and people tried to help each other. However, I miss some of the more frivolous stuff, like "how should I cook chicken breasts?" or "which handbag should I buy?" I don't own any handbags and know nothing about fashion or makeup, or reality TV, but I liked hearing about those things. I wonder if the fact that those kinds of posts have mostly disappeared is more a function of the virus and the dark times we're living in than the new NYCityMoms format.
I still wish we didn't have to click on every single post and then click 'load replies' and/or 'next page' multiple times just to see a single thread in its entirety.

I think it is. We've got too much dark stuff on our minds right now. Stick with us!
@anonymous I joined UB in 2003. I'm not going anywhere!
Agree - has a nice feeling to it, not quite UB but it’s very promising! I feel like I can ask the same types of questions and get thoughtful answers.

I love the background picture.
