@anonymous Picketing is not synonymous with "screaming at parents and kids", but nice hyperbole there! Do you think you may want to wait until the picket actually occurs before deciding they are screaming and bullying, or nah? Just rush to judgement?
What? Where did you hear this?
for the HS or ES?
Admin made it optional for them as they need to set up their classrooms. Not sure why you're blaming the teachers for that . . .
seems like they would want to meet their class - in the ES particularly..
They'll meet their class the next week when school starts.
at least for HS that' not usually part of orientation. you might meet the other kids but they will do that later this week.
From everything I've seen and read, it does not appear to me that they've made any plans to teach.
I don’t know if I am more upset at the admin or teachers. I’m just very disillusioned about the school.
Same. DC is starting 8th, so we haven't been at the school all that long. So disappointed. Not sure we want to stay through HS.
Mine is younger but looking at options as well for ds. Some grades have already lost many families.
@anonymous For ES? Not true.
Where did you hear that teachers definitively will not be there?
Apparently they'll be there picketing and screaming at parents and kids who are entering and exiting the building. Delightful people.
Talk about bullying! I’m done -officially going to find a new school for dc
