I don't know if these qualify as major life decisions but we've started some large home reno projects and also downsized on office space for my business so employees and I will work from home and save money.
We put our NYC apt up for sale. We want the flexibility to either rent in NYC or buy in the suburbs in a year. If we dont sell in the next few months, I figured it would be a couple of years
We got a pandemic puppy. The kids had been begging and pleading relentlessly for years, camp and summer activities were canceled, and we figured we'd be stuck at home for a few months anyway. Of course, it's like a 15 year commitment, and we live in a small apartment without outdoor space, so it wasn't the wisest course. At this very moment the puppy is trying to chew on computer wires. I'm pretty sure I will regret this.
Oh, believe me, we have dozens of chew toys, including all of the ones you listed. We're also doing virtual puppy training, and are puppy-proofing as much as we can. As for the kids' mental health, one of them is in love with the dog and has risen to the occasion. The other one hates all the jumping and biting and escapes into her room. But the puppy can't go outside yet because she hasn't had all her shots -- hopefully things will improve once she can go for walks.

I lost my job and started a new one. I guess the decision was made for me, but even so.

Curious whether you listed it at pre pandemic prices?

I think this is a great idea. It‘s good for the mental health of your children.
Please get the puppy safe chewy snacks and chew toys like bull puzzle, tendon, Kong that you put peanut butter in, ropes, etc.
