My young elementary schooler's NYC private school is totally digital in the fall. I can't in good conscience make him sit in front of a screen for 5+ hours a day so what do I do? Is moving to the burbs crazy? I think we'd have decent in-person private school options in the burbs for this September based on some limited searching I've done, but is it rash to give up on a school we fought so hard to get into, changing our whole lives? On the other hand, I don't know what our viable schooling options would be in NYC at this point. Even a pod with his friends seems non-feasible since everyone will be doing the screentime required by the curriculum that I want to avoid. FWIW, I'm assuming since we've committed to the tuition they'd hold our spot even if we opted out of the digital learning.
