ER doc in NYC getting vaccine tomorrow. Shall I post updates?
I don't need updates--I trust the science. Happy for you, though!
ER doc in Vermont here. Yes, would love updates (though I hear the side effects are more common with the second inoculation). Hitting refresh on my email every half hour wondering when I’ll get one. Am expecting (hoping) this week.
Yes! Would love to hear. How do you feel about taking that one vs. the Moderna one?
Jealous! My hospital doesn't start for a few more days and I don't even know if I have an appointment yet.
Congrats. I’m basically last on the list and cannot wait.
Yes definitely and thank you for your hard work!
On a webinar about the details now. People need to know that ALL doctors and most nurses are fighting to get it ASAP. We are happy with whichever company we get...
Oh that's funny. I'm scheduled for a webinar at 1!
yes! Let us know how bad the side effects are (fever etc). I'm curious what to expect, though I'm so far down on the list, it'll be well known by the time I get there!
Do you think that the cost/benefit analysis says that someone who is NOT in a high risk group for COVID (say, a healthy 25 year old) should get this vaccine despite the fact that there is not yet any science on its long term effects? Thanks.
Get the vaccine. The biggest risk of this vaccine is not taking it. People have this irrational fear of vaccines based on lies, science fiction, and ignorance. Please get the vaccine if you can.
@gimme coffee It is not an "irrational fear." The death rate for a 25 year old from covid is something like less than 0.05%. On the other hand, this vaccine is the FIRST EVER that uses mRNA technology, which, while it may be a technology marvel, we do not know 1-year+ side effects.
@gimme coffee to be fair, it's the biggest COLLECTIVE, or societal, risk. It's not the biggest personal risk.
Peace out. Will update in coming days.
How did the vaccine go?
