Hi everyone, HM with Friday Fun Facts. Given two items in the news, Covid and politics, I love this one: on this day in 1703, Daniel DeFoe, who wrote "Journal of the Plague Year," was pilloried for "seditious libel." To anyone who's ever tried it, that's a pretty ghastly punishment. To show its support, however, the crowd threw flowers at him, instead of rotten fruit and stones! Not bad. Have a safe weekend, everyone!
Thank you! Always happy to read your posts!
TY, very nice of you!
