I've gained 10 POUNDS!! I started doing one of the calorie counting apps and I'm trying to exercise more. I really got out of the habit since March. Any one like to commiserate? :-)
Look into Keto, I always thought it was some fad diet...but the more research I do, the more sense it makes not just for weigh loss but for overall health. The standard practice of eating less and exercising more now seems like just a recipe to dampen your metabolism and make you really hungry and miserable. Of course, just getting rid of crap will go a long way. If you don't want to go full keto, at least cut out sugar, processed foods, bread and pasta. Also helpful is intermittent fasting - to begin you can just make sure you stop eating after dinner and push your breakfast a bit later.
I've never really been able to stick to a diet. I do better just eating less overall. Google "intuitive eating"...that's what I do, more or less.
I've gained 6 pounds since March. Ugh. I agree with the poster above -- I just try to eat less overall and in a few hours during the day.
My "diet" began when lockdown began and I'm down about 25 pounds. But it was basically caused by stress and depression, so I don't recommend it.
