Hire a decorator for 2nd home? I don't have time to keep running out to furniture stores / window treatments, all that small stuff, an hour away.
what do decorators do? Worth the money? how much should I expect to spend/ what's a reasonable cost?
Our primary home / apartment is pretty haphazardly furnished with furniture bought 10 years ago when we had young kids and didn't want to invest in furniture they would probably destroy. Now I'm older, have more money, and want a tastefully decorated home.
It depends on how much full service you need. If you expect to have someone pick everything out, handle the delivery, installation, etc. then its likely a % of the total cost of the project. If you just want help picking items out, you can do that for a flat fee.
