...and the Times pairs a clickbait headline with a provocative racial angle: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/11/us/virus-young-deaths.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage
Um, no. Look at the photos. The virus is killing REALLY FAT people. But of course the Times doesn't want to say that...
Straight from the article :“Many of the younger victims had diabetes or were obese, highlighting the risks people with health problems face no matter their age.”
But please do continue reading only the headlines and looking at pictures.
Please, don’t act oblivious to the game they are playing. They stick that fact way way down the article near the bottom Np
@ Anonymous EXACTLY.
I was responding to OP’s claim that the NYT would never mention it when in fact they did. It’s right in the middle of the article if you actually bothered to read it. Accompanied by pictures of clearly obese people as OP so astutely noticed. Do you need to be hit on the head in order to comprehend news articles?
Americans understand the risks pretty accurately so now they are trying to keep us scared with bullshit titles like that.
And they know full well that people don't read beyond the headline and first couple of paragraphs (especially if they're reading on their phone, which most are).
