Six families we know got a "pandemic puppy." And they're all talking to me about how great it is, and the kids love the dogs so much, it's wonderful for them. I'm like, oh yeah, we're thinking about it. Because I can't say the truth: I really don't like dogs. I don't find them cute. Even puppies. I find them smelly and annoying and the thought of having one in my small space sounds horrible.
I don't want anything BAD to happen to dogs, I would never ever be cruel to them, but I feel like I can't say I don't like them IRL or people will think I'm the most horrible person on earth.
(I don't like cats, either, but for some reason that seems less controversial.)
