But I need a comfy, warm, no-lace, easy-on shoe for dog-walking in fall and winter early mornings and these really seem to fit the bill. Any other recs? My style is more athletic/outdoorsy (Patagonia, LL Bean, New Balance) which is why a cringe a little at the basic-ness (very vain of me, I know!) but haven't seen anything else quite as functional.

I have a pair of black leather Uggs that I love. Super warm and comfortable.
Do it. I felt the same way but you can't beat the comfort.
Lol they're not so bad. Get the cardigan ones if you want a less boxy look. I have them and love them.
Hate them. Go for Merrell
Hate to burst your bubble, but the only one who will judge you is yourself. No one will see you walking your dog and think “oh she’s so basic” because of your Uggs.
So comfortable, so easy. Don't let your bias stop you from owning a super awesome shoe. :)
Wear what's comfortable. I've been living in sweats & jumpsuits, and nobody cares.
Vermont mom. I can’t imagine Uggs are at all practical in fall/winter, particularly with rain or snow. I walk my two labradors in my Bean boots. Right now I’m in the ankle height/moccasin style. Very easy and slip on. I also have the 6” and 8” styles. The 6” are effectively slip-on as well as I have tied the laces in Eastland knots. When it’s very snowy, I wear Sorels. They are knee high and shearling lined.
OP- love Sorels! I’d def wear mine in snow but our city streets get cleared pretty quickly so I’m not ever really plowing through. Closest I saw from LL Bean for what I’m looking for are these- https://m.llbean.com/llb/shop/120173?page=women-s-wicked-good-lodge-chukkas&bc=474-630-503422&feat=503422-GN3&csp=f&attrValue_0=Brown&pos=16
but based on the comments they seem more like indoor shoes appropriate for occasional outdoor use. Most other LL options were very tall/laced/heeled... need a super easy/warm/cosy shoe as I’m literally out the door within 20 seconds of getting out of bed (essentially pj-clad sleepwalking).
I didn’t want to wear them when they were everywhere but I don’t mind now. They’re just functional
Lol I've been thinking about Uggs too. Pandemic has made me just want comfort
