I really enjoyed AWAY because being an astronaut headed to Mars is about the opposite of what my actual shut-in, claustrophobic family life is like right now.
Queen's Gambit was great. I love the Crown and also Schitt's Creek (so sad it ended but I won't mind re-watching it with DCs). I am really enjoying Call the Midwife.
LOVED Workin moms - hated all the characters but loved the show - which is interesting - Schitts Creek is the obvious answer of course but not mentioned here yet and I've been loving The Crown as I like slow, beautifully done, well acted, historical fiction. If you are a science fiction person - I really enjoyed Altered Carbon - the male lead in season 1 is kind of insanely good looking - reason for watching - as is the Henry Cavill show The Witcher because it's funny too (is that Netflix? - not sure).
@Anonymous Marc Maron plays the lead on GLOW (he also has a very famous podcast called WTF - one of the first podcast interview shows). His girlfriend, Lynn Shelton, died suddenly in May and she directed GLOW and other stuff like Little Fires Everywhere. It's been incredibly painful for him - they had fallen in love late in life and he is notoriously cranky, kind of like his GLOW character. Add to that, Jenji Kohan's loss of her college-aged son in a freak ski accident, I think the show was just done.
@MidtownMom I'm conflicted about Friends from College. I agree, everyone is terrible, but I still find it enjoyable and funny. It may be that I still have a crush on Fred Savage from The Wonder Years.
BoJack Horseman, Arrested Development, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Can’t remember if these are Netflix or Hulu but I LOVE Younger. Also You.
