I know nothing about cooking, let's start there. This recipe calls for using the oven but I just want to cook the meal on the stove top. What adjustments should I make? TIA!
It needs super low, even heat. Do you have a very heavy dutch oven and a flame tamer? If so you may be able to replicate, but you'll run the risk of scorching it.

Yes, I'm cooking it in a dutch oven. I don't have a flame tamer, though. I'll just cook it on low heat. Thanks!
It's so much easier to make sure it cooks evenly and doesn't burn if you just pop it in the oven.
