So, I don’t like Trump...at all. But I also cringe at media bias—it seems like even when he’s ok, they pick at him. Only caught some of the NBC town hall and didn’t think he was debating/argumentive yet that’s the lead for CNN/NYT I’m. also very nervous about some outcomes under Dems—packing/increase court. No one seems to care—they just want T our.

I think a lot of people think like you but not many live in the city.
Most stay quiet in the city, we hide
@Anonymous And what, don't vote? Because Dems crush in the city.
Jesus Christ.
I agree with you -- everyone is highly vested in their own narrative and there are plenty of ill-conceived ideas to go around.
Same
"Even when he's ok"???? Are you kidding? That happens exactly never, you know that, right? Ah, ok, I get it, you're a troll.
Op: it’s a low bar, just not debate debacle etc
Was the bit you caught Guthrie's interview or the town hall proper? He was definitely aggressive/debating during the interview. She kept calling him on his lies and he did NOT like it.
Assuming you're sincere and not a troll, I think you're a victim of frog-in-boiling-water syndrome. The bar is so low with Trump, that it's easy to forget how extreme his incompetence, deceit, corruption and narcissism is. We've lost sight of what normal is. Him at his (low bar) best is as bad or worse than any other president or candidate on their worst day. Even in this "not a debacle" town hall, he told a scandalous number of lies, refused to denounce QAnon, claimed again that he can't lose unless "the ballots" are fraudulent, and was evasive about key issues like his debts and whether he Covid tested before the first debate. It was bad by any "normal" standard, just not by his.
So no, I don't think they're "picking at him" wrongly. Although I do wish they'd just stop giving him so much oxygen. He thrives on creating chaos and drama. NBC just shouldn't have given him the town hall at all--it was his choice to pull out of the debate because he wants to be able to interrupt and bully without losing mic privileges, so they shouldn't reward that tantrum with airtime. But at least Guthrie did her homework and came prepared to keep him in line.
As for court packing... it's already happened. Repubs packed the court by stealing Garland's seat (or Ginsburg's, depending on whether you believe they were cheating in 2016 or are cheating now.).
Sorry but 2016 and 2020 where the process was legally used are not the same as changing the number of seats on the court, which is a quick road to major destabilization.
I do
I also cringe at the media bias against Trump. As a former journalist, I find it embarrassing. IMO this has nothing to do with my politics, which are as blue as they come.
I am also a former journlalist and way left of Biden. I hate when the media overplays things Trump does and it comes back to bite us. For example, when Trump tested positive for covid, the media fixated on him being "airlifted" to the hospital, "receiving oxygen," and having "multiple" medications. So we all thought he was on death;s door,. Except the truth is he travekls by helicopter anyway (liek he was going to Uber to the hossital?? lol), of course if he is having congestion he will get some oxygen (hell, I got oxygen when I was in labor), and his friend's profit from him pushing the Regeneron med. Those of us with eyes saw he walked on his own into teh helicopter, and even if his videos from the hopsital were after many takes, he looked OK not sweaty or weak. So the fact he recivered quickly was probaby because he wasnt that sick, not that he is some mircale of nature.
ER MD. I disagree. The fact he needed hospitalization and supplemental oxygen in a man of his age and comorbidities is very concerning and portends pohhtential poor prognosis. And O2 was clearly indicated by his doctors, who confirmed he was hypoxic. Th
