I am 50, in a bad marriage. After being out of work for 3 years, I have been looking and applying since fall 2019, hoping to be able to regain my independence. Nothing has happened so far and I do realize it is a tough time to be looking.
Then just recently, through a former colleague, I was told of an opportunity as a high level exec assistant/chief of staff for a CEO.
I have primarily worked in communications/external relations roles. I did work in some administrative capacities, but not for a while. I think I could do this, but then also start doubting myself (which is easier when you have not worked for a while) anyway, I don't know much about the positions details as it was only described by my former colleague. But after a few emails and a first brief phone interview with head of HR, I know have a zoom call set up for tomorrow with the CEO. I am very nervous, I wonder if anyone in a similar role has any advice to share, or even just advice for the zoom interview, since this would be my first. Thank you!
