I spend all my mental energy on managing dcs, wfh, homeschooling, etc., being single during the pandemic sounds kind of glorious but this was an interesting article.
It doesn't sound glorious to me at all. I have friends in this situation, and it is likely the worst thing that has ever happened to them. The isolation, the loneliness, the lack of regular human contact. The depression. In other contexts, solitary confinement of this nature is considered torture.
I feel for everyone in this pandemic. We all have our struggles. But I think the assumption that someone isn't lonely b/c they have kids is the wrong perspective. I would love some alone time.

Yes. I am most worried about my single friends and family.
That’s me! I mostly love it :)
