I was in midtown today, and things felt almost normal. Streets were busy (not rush hour busy, but more than a Sunday, and outdoor dining was full), but some stores/hotels were shuttered. Even so, it was more lively than many mid-size US Cities even on their busy days.

My husband's been going to the office since July and he says things are definitely livelier now. Hopefully there won't be a second (third?) wave to slow things down again.
agree, things are looking pretty good in the city right now
Not to be Debbie downer, but I have a friend who works in a large hospital and says they are starting to see signs of a 2nd wave.
