At what age do you think kids should understand the basics of Physical distancing? DCs have friends in 5th and 7th grade and the younger friends tell them they are having their worst play dates ever because they’re outside and wearing masks. Some older kids just aren’t interested in hanging out with our DCs at all. We are in a high prevalence state, not NYC where there’s basically no Covid anymore.
The premise of your question is odd. "At what age?" THere are adults who don't agree on how to act during this time. This isn't an age thing.
We have about 1500 new cases of covid detected every week in NYC, so not sure about 'basically no covid' here, but those kids are being dicks and they probably get it from the parents.
:(( I agree. One kid told my 9 yo DC that this is the worst play date ever! The older ones are a bit more subtle, don’t agree to wearing masks, get extremely close to my DC and then never show up again. We have preexisting conditions in the family and don’t want to risk anything.
